Visual signature versus certificate-backed signing
You can type, draw, or upload a signature image and place it on selected pages. The output shows a visible mark; it does not cryptographically verify identity, provide a certificate, or prove that the PDF was not changed later.
Some recipients accept a visual signature, while others require a specific electronic-signature service or a certificate-backed digital signature. Confirm the recipient’s requirements before sending a consequential document.
Protect the signed copy
Preview placement and scale, then inspect the downloaded PDF at normal zoom. A mark can be accidentally placed over form text or outside a printable margin.
Processing remains in your browser. Keep a copy of the unsigned original and avoid treating the presence of an image signature as proof that another person authorized the document.
